The title of this blog has nothing to do at all with the actual blog itself. It is an inside joke, and only a few people will understand. Anyways since that is not the point.

This blog really has no point. It is just be really lazy, not wanting to go to bed and read. I enjoy reading, but there are other things I wish I could be doing. Like blowing bubbles, blowing bubbles for some reason gets my creative mojo flowing. Plus, it is cute to watch my dog run around trying to catch and eat the bubbles. Today was fun, I went to the doctors and he said that I am doing much better in recovering which is always a plus. Today’s weather was absoulutly wonderful, the bad thing about it being so cold is that when you wake up in the morning the thought of leaving you bed which is warm due to you wrapped up like a butterfly in the caccoon. Also, then leaving your bed clothes to go into day clothes that are cold not as comfortable as your bedtime clothes. That is the only downfall to cold weather, other then that it is nice to know that when you step outside you won’t start sweating and blast the cars a/c. You can actually roll down your windows and drive turn off your a/c save some gas.

Well after the doctors I went to BJ’s and can’t resist and help myself to walk by the book section. Normally it is torture because I spend hours standing there reading books writing the names down for my “Get these books” list. Today I saw a book I have been stumbleing across lately on-line and always curious to see what exactly is in this book?!  If you have ever heard of the book “The Daring Book For Girls” I have to say, it may seem like it would only be a little girl’s book, it actually isn’t it has some good stuff inside! I have even done one of the crafts they have. It is a Mexican God’s Eye, it is fun and easy to make. Look at it if you ever stumble across it in a book store.

So basically today was a get back in touch with you inner child day for me. Blowing bubbles, arts and crafts. Just a fun day!

Song for this blog is……..’Till Kingdom Come by Coldplay.

Family April 8, 2008

Family is a big part of my life. Even though they might not be all that sane some times, or even concur with me. They have always been there for me and always will be. In the picture above, it is a picture of my cousin and me on my parents boat. We went on a short little cruise for spring break, and well let just make this as simple as ABC.

My cousin Nicky and I go way back. Ever since I can remember, we have always been in some silly argument like who gets the remote, what we watch, what game we play, what movie to watch, and this list can go on for miles. On this trip we had so much fun even though all the parents hear is “your such a cheater. CHEATER!” “I am not the cheater, Cheater, your the cheater” never play ‘uno’ or any kind of card game with the two of us.

The truth is, even though the parents hear our argueing we are actually pretty much inseperable when we are together. We sing, dance, laugh *at each other*, talk about nonsense, take pictures, and well always look out for one another. No one else but me can mess with Nicky, we are there for each other no matter if the other one likes it at the time. Being raised in a family where family is everything the backbone to life, I can’t see not loving my cousin as much as I do.

I know some families barely communicate or never see or talk to each other. But if I didn’t have my family I don’t think I could survive. After coming back from a family friend’s brother’s funeral I realized how much family is. No, I didn’t have Nicky with me, even though I missed him and wanted somebody to bug. I think everyone should mend their ties or bond with their family no matter what. If you don’t have family, create one. That is the best family you can ever have, you can actually choose your family. Friends are also a good thing because after the years of joy and tears they become like family.

Family should be the most important thing you can ever have. Because, no matter what, they will be there with you.

A Philosipher once said “Are we human because we gaze at the stars? Or do we gaze at them because we are human?”   What a lovely quote when I first heard it. What does it mean exacatlly is another question. If you have watched the lovely movie “Stardust” you would have recognized the quote.

The question is quiet complex and deep. Dogs, cats, everything living gaze at the stars, but that does not make them human.  I think we are human because we want to know the deeper meaning of how they got there, and how we got here then anything else. We have studied the stars for centuries, we learn new things  about them everytime.  So why do we gaze at the stars for all the time we do? Is it because they grab our attention, and shine so bright at night. Or is it because someone started to look up?

Also from another movie “A Knight’s Tale” they said “We can not change our stars”. But can we change our stars? Easier said then done but if you try then we could, no?  When they talk about changing stars, they are talking about your destiny. The question is, is our destiny irreversable? I mean, it is a small choice you might make, but the affects might be larger then anyone could fathom. But, if you are born into a poor family, that does not mean you will live the same life. Only if you follow the footsteps of the person that is in that situation. But that doesn’t mean the child born into a wealthy family will continue to be wealthy. The people that the media talk about the most, for example: Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks, Donald Trump, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the list can go on and on they were below average when they were discovered. Some lived in a car with their family and barely could buy food. So they changed their stars by a few choices they made. M. Monroe said ” In Hollywood, they will pay you a million dollars for a on screen kiss, but only give 25 cents for your soul” money is not the key in life. It is only there to keep you living, but not to live for it.

Then we gaze at the stars and we can’t rearrange them, some of them don’t even exist anymore. So it is evident that we can not change our stars since we can not change stars or even hold them in our hand?

Becoming Jane March 1, 2008

eyes.jpg  First of all, Jane Austin is the Bomb! If I could meet anyone dead or alive it would be her. She is so independent, so advanced in her thinking for her time. I mean to strive to be a writer which was frowned upon at the time, but to do the thing she loved. I admire her so much for not being a conformist!

Seriously, the statement of “Well behaved woman barely make history!” we have to make that statement a lifestyle not just something to say. We should live by it. I don’t know about you but I would give up everything for being remembered for hundreds of years after I have died. Wouldn’t you? She gave up love, having a family, and maybe fortune. But what she gained was so much more, becoming one of the best writers in the world, the best woman writer of time, (Yes, she is better then William Shakespeare) she did what she loved, I mean love is something everyone desires but the outcome was much more abundent then she could have gotten if she just did what she was told. To write six novels and for people still reading them and still talking about them today. That is a book that has some kind of power behind it. I get goosebumps just even thinking about her books and how witty and proud her mind was.

So, the movie “Becoming Jane” was an emotional roller-coaster. I loved it, it goes even better with some ice cream and a blanket. ( Also a sleepy little dog curled up in your lap) Anne Hathaway did an astounding job as Jane Austin, once again she blew me away. Anne Hathaway is known as Princess Mia from “Princess Diaries” and “Princess Diaries 2″ from Meg Cabot’s book series. We knew her as a clumsy girl from San Fransisco, California who found out she is a princess. Do not expect her to be a clumsy or gangly of any sort. In “Becoming Jane” she is a well educated woman who has pride and a quick and clever wit about herself. ( Anne Hathaway played Jane Austin) Beautiful movie setting in England’s country. Just hands down, this movie is two thumbs up. (Is that even possible?) If you are a fan of Jane Austin you will love “Becoming Jane”! You will cry, laugh, cry some more, and in some odd way find peace with yourself and have even more respect for Jane Austin.
